SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. While the township already celebrated Independence Day on July 1 and if you missed it, tomorrow is July 4, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around South Brunswick so you can start planning now.

What: East Brunswick July 4 Fireworks Spectacular
Where: Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road
When: July 4, 6 p.m. onwards
Join the township for an evening full of summer fun to celebrate the 4th of July. There will be food trucks, music, and children's entertainment, followed by fireworks. Rain date is July 5.

What: Milltown 4th of July Parade & Fireworks
Where: Milltown
When: July 4, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Milltown will celebrate July 4 with a fishing derby, 5k race, parade, duck race, patriotic house contest, music and a pizza-eating contest. There will be fireworks display at night. Details here.

What: Edison Township July 4 Fireworks
Where: Papaianni Park
When: July 4, 5: 30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Don't miss this year's Edison Township July 4th Fireworks at Papaianni Park. Independence Day celebrations begin at 3 p.m. with lots of music, food, and other vendors. The fireworks display will start at 9:15 p.m.

What: 4th of July Jubilee - Swinging 60s at Morven
Where: Morven Museum & Garden, Princeton
When: July 4, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The celebration will feature the Arts Council of Princeton providing a Jasper Johns American Flag activity, the Historical Society of Princeton has a meaningful 1960's Princeton adventure activity, there will be live dancing in the gardens with the Luminarium Dance Company, and live music from the 1960s and beyond, including the hit "TelStar" with the Green Planet Band. What: Independence Day Celebration - Living History Day
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park
When: July 4, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Celebrate Independence Day by bringing the whole family back in time — to July 4, 1776. Watch historians demonstrate crafts and see a military encampment from noon to 4 p.m. A highlight of the day will be readings of the Declaration of Independence at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
