8th Grade, High School Graduations On Tap In Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ — It's graduation week for the Toms River Regional School District, which means residents should expect busy nights at area restaurants and extra traffic to and from the graduation ceremonies.

For those who will be celebrating their students' achievements, here is a look at the weather forecast, so you know whether umbrellas might be needed.

The eighth grade promotion ceremonies are set for Tuesday, June 11, and the high school graduations are on Wednesday, June 12. For those unable to attend in person, the district is providing live video from the ceremonies on its YouTube channel.

Tuesday's weather forecast from the National Weather Service's Mount Holly office says there is a chance of thunderstorms, "mainly between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.," which coincides with the starting time of the Toms River Intermediate East and Intermediate South ceremonies.

The promotion ceremony at Toms River Intermediate East is set for 3 p.m. and Toms River Intermediate South is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.

The Toms River Intermediate North ceremony is set for 6 p.m.

Wednesday's weather is predicted to be sunny and mostly clear all day, so there should not be rain or storms affecting the high school graduations.

The ceremonies at Toms River High School East and Toms River High School North both are set to begin at 12:30 p.m., with the Toms River High School South graduation at 2:30 p.m.
