ECW Original Jason Knight Making Comeback At Toms River Benefit

Jason Knight was trained by WWE hall of famer Johnny Rodz he debuted in 1984, Knight wrestled on independent circuit before making numerous appearances for the World Wrestling Federation in 1992 and 1993. He made his first appearance on the July 4, 1992 episode of WWF Superstars, losing to Rick Martel. He would go on to lose matches in singles and tag team competition throughout July and August against Ric Flair, The Nasty Boys, The Mountie, Skinner, The Beverly Brothers and The Berzerker. Knight returned in the main event of the fourth episode of the WWF's flagship television show, Monday Night Raw, on February 1, 1993, where he lost to Lex Luger in Luger's WWF on-screen ring debut. He again appeared on the April 26 episode of Raw in a losing effort to Mr. Hughes. After another loss to Luger on the June 5 episode of Superstars, he made his last appearance on the June 30, 1993 episode of Wrestling Challenge, losing to Bam Bam Bigelow.

He like many others flourished in the groundbreaking pro wrestling promotions ECW. Throughout his career he racked up numerous championships one notible one was the coveted ECW television championship which was held by many legends such as Rob Van Dam, Gary Wolf, and Rhino.

His son is directing a documentary on his father.

Former ECW champion Pitbull # 1 Gary Wolf originally from Hammonton, New Jersey is the Captain of the pro wrestling tag team “The Pitbull’s Mad Dogs of War” has become a mentor to many wrestlers who are either starting out or coming back into the business.
