Lakeland Bank Associate DeLuca Named 2022 Rising Star

Lakeland Bank is pleased to announce that Kristina DeLuca, CAMS, Vice President, Assistant BSA AML Fraud Officer, was a recipient of the NJBankers 2022 Emerging Leaders Rising Star Award. A panel of independent judges reviewed nominations and selected the 2022 awardees based on exemplary leadership characteristics.

“Congratulations to Kristina on receiving this award among the many banking professionals who are making a significant impact in our industry,” said Thomas Shara, President and CEO, Lakeland Bank. “We are honored to have such a talented leader who has demonstrated dedication and commitment to helping make Lakeland a better bank and it is an honor to have her on our team.”

Kristina DeLuca joined the Bank in 2005 as a Teller and transferred to Investment Services as a Financial Advisor Assistant in 2007. From there, she transferred to the BSA-Fraud Department in 2011, where she has held various positions. Over the years, DeLuca was promoted from an analyst to a manager and most recently to Assistant BSA / Fraud Officer in 2019. She participated in Lakeland’s Leader Engagement and Development (LEAD) Program, designed to enhance leadership skills for high-potential associates, and graduated in the 2019 class. DeLuca is a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS). She spends her available time with family, friends and local congregation. DeLuca is a resident of Sussex County.

“It is an honor to be considered for a such a prestigious award let alone receive it,” said DeLuca. “I truly appreciate all the opportunities, guidance and mentoring I have received over the years. This award proves that hard work, dedication and willingness to evolve is celebrated within Lakeland and the NJBankers Association. I look forward to continue taking on new challenges and supporting others so they too can be recognized.”
