Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Paula Stauhs should be honored because of her kindness, dedication, and bright light that she brings into the classroom and how she has an impact on each student and life she touches. She is someone who truly cares about students and faculty, and is dedicated to making sure that everyone feels loved, supported, and heard.

If I didn't have Paula Stauhs when I was in middle school, I don't know what I would've done. She truly made my middle school experience brighter and got me through some of the hardest times, and sometimes when she didn't even know it. Her passion for teaching and helping others is like no other and she truly deserves to be honored for the wonderful, kind, genuine human being she is. She has received teacher of the year in 2019 at Toms River Intermediate North, and rightfully so. I can't think of anyone else who deserves that title more than her. To this day, she is someone I can confide in and when I need someone to lean on she is always there. Her presence lights up any room and her personality is one of a kind. I could go on for hours about how incredible she is in and out of the classroom.

I wish there were more teachers like her, and I even wish she could take over the Toms River School system considering what has been going on over the past few years. Please honor and recognize this teacher, as she is truly incredible.

She is truly dedicated to making learning fun and exciting, and she is always there for everyone making sure they feel loved and supported. If a student or faculty member ever needed anything, she is the go-to person.
