Star Student Athlete: Erin Serves Her Toms River Community
We all know athletes who shine whether they're competing or not. Here is one who has made a mark on her community.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — We all know student-athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.
Here at Patch, we wanted to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

How do you know the star student athlete?
She is my friend's granddaughter.
What sport does the star student athlete play?
She is a swimmer.
Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?
Erin is a senior in high school. Ever since grammar school she has organized drives like toys for needy kids, clothing drives and still does so, which were all successful. Erin accumulated an incredible amount of community service hours during the pandemic. We are all very proud of this young lady's accomplishments for the swim team, her school, her church and various community projects.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?
She is very considerate and kind to all.
