Motorcyclist Killed In Deer Crash In Wayne: Prosecutor

A 52-year-old New Jersey man was killed when he struck a deer on a highway, prosecutors said.

WAYNE – A 52-year-old New Jersey man was killed Thursday when he struck a deer on a highway, prosecutors said.

Joseph Yurga, 52, of Pequannock was operating a 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he struck a deer in the area of the I-80 west intersection with Route 23 north, prosecutors said.

The crash happened at 9:22 p.m.

Yurga was transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, prosecutors said.

The investigation is ongoing.
