Pennsylvania Woman In Critical Condition After Passaic Co. Crash

A Saturday evening car accident left two people injured after a vehicle collided with a tree in West Milford, the county prosecutor said.

The vehicle was occupied by the driver, as well as a 34-year-old man who resides in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. Both were transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson.

WEST MILFORD, NJ — A Pennsylvania woman is in critical condition after she struck a tree while driving in West Milford on Saturday evening, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Police responded to the area of 400 Union Valley Rd. on Saturday at 6:10 p.m. after reports of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers found that a car, operated by a 32-year-old Bethel, Pennsylvania, resident had struck a tree.

The vehicle was occupied by the driver, as well as a 34-year-old man who resides in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. Both were transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson.

The passenger was treated for his injuries and released, while the driver remains hospitalized in critical condition, the prosecutor said.

No charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation is active and ongoing, the office added.
