Railroad Crossing Repair Work To Cause Traffic Delays In Wayne

WAYNE, NJ — Motorists can expect major delays near a railroad crossing that will be closed for repairs until Wednesday, state Department of Transportation officials said.

Mountainview Boulevard is closed until 5 p.m. Wednesday between Fayette and Erie avenues, officials said. Traffic will be detoured in both directions.

There will be separate detours for trucks and other vehicles in the area. Local police will be at the scene helping coordinate detours.

The concrete railroad crossing and nearby asphalt will be replaced.

Work is expected to be complete by 5 p.m. Wednesday, but the work schedule may change due to weather and other factors, officials said.
