Event Details
On August 20th we will learn about turning an old barn into a community Arts Center. Our speaker will be Leslie Workman, board president, Farmstead Arts in Basking Ridge. Leslie will take us through the roughly three-hundred-year history of a Basking Ridge farm and its ultimate transition into a community cultural center which features many services ranging from art classes to live theatre.

The Summit Area Old Guard is a social, educational, and recreational organization that serves men of retirement age. We meet most Tuesdays at the New Providence Presbyterian Church located at 1307 Springfield Ave. Our dues are minimal, and members manage all aspects of the operation. Our motto is “Come for the Programs. Stay for the Friends.” The organization was founded in 1930.
