She is also a former star track athlete who volunteers as a coach and provides pro bono services at the East Orange Family Success Center.

Moore joins a judicial team that includes Chief Judge Sherwin Campbell and fellow municipal court judges Marvin Braker, Samantha Mendenhall, Steven Brister and Chandra Cole.

She has already received a big thumbs-up from Campbell, who said Moore is the “right person at the right time.”

“Judge Moore is a person of exceptional character who has consistently demonstrated her ability to meet the responsibilities and demands required of this position,” Mayor Ted Green said.

“In her new capacity, Judge Moore is not only representing our community, she is an active part of it,” Green added. “The legal system is complex and I believe that Judge Moore’s practical experiences combined with her inner instincts will make her a valuable asset to the City of East Orange and the people we serve.”
