Club XXXV is located on Rt. 35 in Sayreville and it is well known in the area. The club has been under investigation by the New Jersey Attorney General since 2021, when it was raided by Sayreville Police following numerous complaints of prostitution occurring there.

The state of New Jersey actually shut Club XXXV down in 2022, but it was allowed to reopen in 2023.

In a twist, former Sayreville Democratic chairman Thomas Pollando was also accused of accepting several thousand dollars in cash bribes in exchange for trying to sway the state into dropping its investigation of Club 35.

In 2023, Pollando, 73, was indicted on charges of bribery and official misconduct. His son, David Pollando, 42 and David's wife, Lizmarie Pollando, 29, all of Sayreville, were also indicted in connection.

Prosecutors have been investigating the club and its owners, the Acciardi family, for several years now, alleging the strip club is actually a brothel. Go-go bars are legal in New Jersey, but prostitution is not. Strip clubs are also not allowed to sell alcohol on the premises, something else the state alleges Club XXXV did. Prosecutors say the Acciardis made more than $10 million from alleged prostitution at the club, and laundered the money through sham businesses.

Pivarnick is originally from Staten Island. She was in the original 2010 "Jersey Shore" and then in the spinoff "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation."
