Woodbridge High School Football Player Nominated For Big Award

Vote in the link below for varsity senior Isaiah Allen​ and help him win up to $5,000 for the Woodbridge Barons!

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A Woodbridge High School student has been nominated for the 2021 USA Football "Heart of a Giant" award, which are given annually every October.

Every fall, the NY Giants NFL team asks high school football coaches across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to nominate outstanding student-athletes. The coaches are looking for students who show commitment, teamwork, will, character and dedication.

Here is what was said about Isaiah, by his Woodbridge HS coaches:

"Isaiah has always put the team first on many occasions. This past season, Isaiah did not touch the ball in a game, despite being one of best players. Although he did not touch the ball, he did not complain, he stayed the course and continued to work hard. The following game he had over 350 All Purpose yards and five touchdowns. Isaiah is an exceptional young man. He spends his spare time helping coach our Pop Warner program."

If he gets enough votes from the public, Isaiah has a chance to win money for the Woodbridge High School football program and for himself!

Each finalist will receive $1,000 for their high school's football program, with the grand prize winner's school getting an additional $4,000. Overall, there will be 11 finalists.

The grand prize winner will be selected based on video submissions stating why they have the "Heart of a Giant."

The voting period is now open until October 10, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
