Bay Shore School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

BAY SHORE, NY— The first day of School in Bay Shore is September 5 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP. The Bay Shore School District has released its 2018-2019 calendars for public schools.

The calendars include important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/10-9/11: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/8-11/9: Half Day Grades K-6
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/24-12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/2: Students Return
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18-2/23: No School (Mid-Winter Recess)

April

• 4/19: No School (Good Friday)
• 4/22-4/26: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/24-6/26: Half Days Grades K-5
• 6/26: Last Day of School
• 6/27: High School Graduation
