Firefighters Will Escort Santa Around Bay Shore, Brightwaters

BAY SHORE, NY — Santa will visit Bay Shore and Brightwaters Dec. 23 with volunteer firefighters taking the place of reindeer.

His travels around the community will begin at 9 a.m. Listen for the sirens to figure out when he's nearby, and remember — the truck cannot go down dead end streets, so you may want to hoof it to a thoroughfare nearby.

Please do not call the firehouse. That ties up the phone lines and may delay emergency response by Bay Shore's Bravest.
