BED-STUY, NY — A woman was crossing the street Thursday when a vehicle slammed into her, sending her to the hospital, according to police.

The 41-year-old was on a marked crosswalk near Bainbridge Street and Howard Avenue about 6:25 p.m. when a vehicle hit her while making a left turn, police said.

The crash sent the woman to an area hospital, where she was in stable condition Friday, according to the NYPD.

Meanwhile, the driver remained on the scene — but no arrests had been made Friday.

Over 450 pedestrians were injured in crashes in Brooklyn last year, including two on Howard Avenue between Broadway and Fulton Street, according to NYC Crash Mapper data.
