Affordable Housing Complex In Westchester Now Taking Applications

Amenities include gym, playground, parking, shuttle bus and on-site laundry, but hurry because the deadline to apply is soon.

LEWISBORO, NY — Town of Lewisboro Supervisor Tony Gonçalves announced that the new AFFH Affordable Housing complex that will soon open in Goldens Bridge is now accepting applications.

Lewisboro Commons is a five-building complex with 42 apartments located at 205 Goldens Bridge Road in Lewisboro. There will be 10 one-bedroom apartments, 21 two-bedroom apartments, 10 three-bedrooms and an apartment for the superintendent. Six apartments are designed specifically for people with mobility impairments and two apartments are for people with sensory or hearing impairments.

Amenities include an on-site management office and club facility with a great room, computer room, fitness room and central laundry facilities. There is also an outdoor sports court and children's playground with a shuttle bus to the train, shopping and medical appointments. On-site surface parking is available with a 20-acre conservation area nearby. Rents include heat and hot water. The complex is pet-friendly.

The apartments are available to those with a household income below 60 percent of the average monthly income in the region. In order to qualify, a single person would need to make less than $53,550 annually, while a five-person family can earn up to $82,620.

Winning applicants will pay $1,089-$1,315 per month for a one-bedroom, $1,312-$1,583 per month for a two-bedroom and $1,519-$1,832 per month for a three-bedroom.

Applications for the apartments must be received by the Housing Action Council by May 13, 2022. The lottery will take place via Zoom on May 27, 2022.
