Professional landscapers and environmentalists will be available to help with plant choices and to answer questions. Homeowners are also encouraged to bring drawings and photos of their yard or samples of plants they would like to identify.

The free event is organized together with Bedford 2030, the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, Bedford Audubon, Hilltop Hanover Farm and Wild Gardens. Organizers say the horticultural swap meet is intended to both familiarize homeowners with the importance of native plants and the crucial role they play in the sustenance of a healthy environment.
