DeCicco & Sons Reveals Bedford Opening Date

BEDFORD, NY — The wait is over — the opening date for the newest DeCicco & Sons has finally been revealed to be Friday, March 25 at 7:30 a.m.

The store's Facebook page announced the news and added, "we are so excited to become part of the Bedford community with our 10th location!"

The newest DeCicco & Sons is located in the former Key Foods Marketplace in Bedford, at 422 Old Post Rd. Opening Day specials, weekly deals and more news will be available at sales.deciccos.com.

Many residents in the area have been eager to find out when the opening date for the new store would be. Promising signs that it would happen soon were the job fairs and the photos posted on social media of new shelves and gleaming display cases waiting to be stocked.

The most recent job fair took place Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Interested candidates were able to speak with hiring managers about the variety of full-time and part-time positions available and have same-day interviews.

DeCicco's describes itself as "your destination for specialty and gourmet groceries, as well as all of your everyday needs."

"We offer a full-service deli, chopped salad station, coffee and juice bar, bakery, fresh sushi, fully staffed butcher and seafood department," the company has posted on social media. The Bedford location will also have a sandwich station, upstairs dining area, 16-tap craft beer & wine bar and an events/cuisine area with a dedicated event planner.

DeCicco & Sons was founded in 1973 as a small store in the Bronx and has since expanded to Putnam and Westchester counties, according to the company website.

It currently has locations in Ardsley, Armonk, Brewster, Eastchester, Harrison, Larchmont, Millwood, Pelham and Somers. An additional location is planned in Sleepy Hollow later this year.
