Damp, Rainy Forecast For Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The region is in for a couple of damp, rainy days as what's left of Hurricane Delta moves through the area Monday.

High temperatures will struggle to reach 50 around the Hudson Valley and winds could gust to 20 mph in spots.

Hudson Valley Weather said rain showers could continue through Monday night, and the threat of rain could last well into Tuesday morning.

"This is one of those storms where we're very glad it's not winter," Hudson Valley Weather said, adding that if this were January and cold enough to snow, the storm could have been forecast up to 10 inches, but turned to 3 to 5 inches at the last minute.

Here is the week's forecast for northern Westchester:

• Monday: Rain likely, mainly before 2pm. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 48. East wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Monday Night: Rain, mainly after 11pm. Temperature rising to around 54 by 5am. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Tuesday: Rain, mainly before 2pm. Patchy fog before noon. High near 65. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
• Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. West wind around 7 mph.
• Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 69. West wind 7 to 9 mph.
• Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.
• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 73.
• Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.
• Friday: Showers likely, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
• Friday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
