After the success of The Market at Union Hall in North Salem, one of the owners, Daniel Pereira, decided to open up Daniel's on June to "provide a welcoming café experience for the local community." The local coffee/breakfast/lunch spot is located on the corner of June Road and Route 116.

The popular, locally-owned small business features some of the best ingredients the Hudson Valley has to offer, including Coffee Lab Roasters beans and a selection of desserts.

The cafe added pizza to the menu and expanded its hours in January, staying open until 8 p.m. for dinner.

Located near the post office and M & T bank, across the road from St. James Church and the police station, the cafe was a draw for Connecticut and Putnam County residents, as well as locals. Daniel's on June also offered catering for events, including customized charcuterie boards.

The restaurant's motto on its menus, t-shirts, tote bags and coffee mugs, reads, "Nothing but love comes through these doors." After Valentine's Day, loyal costumers will have to travel to The Market at Union Hall to feel that love.
