Cannold revealed to Mansion Global that he spent $2.5 million completely updating the property in 2016, including bathrooms, kitchens, all new mechanicals and adding radiant heat flooring throughout. He also told the luxury real estate website that the landscaping he chose for the property was inspired by architect Maya Lin's Wavefield at the Storm King Art Center in New Windsor. In addition, he restored the pond which had become overgrown with invasive plants and added another pool.

The deck outside the primary bedroom suite with 360-degree views and the high-end custom-made home theater were the two features Cannold told Mansion Global were his two favorite spaces of the estate.
