HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Because of low humidity and gusty winds, there is the risk of fire spread in parts of the Hudson Valley Thursday.

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement advising of elevated risk of fire spread Thursday afternoon.

A dry air mass will be in place Thursday, the weather service said, along with northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph.
