Freeze Warning Issued for Parts of Hudson Valley

The freezing temperatures could damage outdoor plants.

Parts of the Hudson Valley are under a Freeze Warning for tonight into early Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued the alert for Rockland, northern Westchester, Orange and Putnam counties, in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Wednesday.

There is not freeze warning for Dutchess County, but temps are forecast to dip to around 31 degrees.

In Westchester, the freeze warning includes Dobbs Ferry and points north along the Hudson River and areas north of White Plains.

For southern Westchester, the NWS issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the potential for freezing temperatures Wednesday night and Thursday night.

Take heart, though, daytime temperatures for the rest of the week will warm up to the upper-50s and lower-60s, and even on Sunday the high could get near 70.
