Frost Advisory For Parts Of Region: Don't Transplant Those Sprouts Yet

The National Weather Service has issued an overnight frost advisory for much of the Hudson Valley, including parts of Westchester County.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — If the spring weather inspired you to take those tomato starter plants off the window sill and get the garden started — maybe hold off for just a few more days.

The National Weather service is warning about a frost advisory overnight Wednesday.

A frost advisory will be in effect from 11 p.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Thursday for Northern Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Orange counties. Southern Connecticut, Suffolk County in Long Island and northeast New Jersey will also be affected. Temperatures as low as the mid 30s are expected, resulting in frost formation, according to the NWS.
