BEDFORD HILLS, NY — The director of golf at the Glen Arbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills has earned his tour card and will fulfill his dream of playing on the PGA Champions tour this year with a key sponsorship deal at his back.

Rob Labritz has earned more than his share of awards and accolades, including being named the Westchester Golf Association Player of the Year in 2002, ‘03, ‘08, ‘13, ‘15, and ‘16. He also won the New York State Open in 2008, ‘13, ‘16, as well as the 2016 and 2021 Westchester Open. Labritz is the only player in the event's history to accomplish the feat twice at their home facility. He is a three-time Metropolitan PGA Section Professional Champion and was named the Metropolitan PGA Section Player of the Year in 2008, ’13, ‘16.

Michigan-based V1 Sports (V1), developers of a cutting-edge video and ground pressure analysis technology for coaches and athletes, has announced the signing of Labritz as its newest brand ambassador. Labritz, the Director of Golf at the Glen Arbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, has played in 8 PGA Championships and finished as the low PGA Member in the field twice. He earned his tour card by winning medalist honors at Q-School.

Measuring ground force has become a hot trend in the game. V1 technology is at the forefront of measuring movements throughout the golf swing, according to the sports technology company.

"I’m thrilled to expand my partnership with V1 Sports and I appreciate their confidence in choosing me to represent their brand on tour," Labritz said. "I’ve implemented V1 video analysis software in my golf instruction, for both my students as well as my own game, for many years and I’m excited to incorporate their innovative pressure mat technology to further improve my game."

Labritz isn't alone in offering a glowing testimonial for the V1 Pressure Mat technology.

The portable ground force interaction tool integrates with V1 Pro Mobile software to measure pressure, velocity, and dynamic force through the entire golf swing. Syncing video and ground pressure data creates what many pros, including Labritz, consider an unbeatable tool to more accurately evaluate movement and provide real-time feedback to golfers to help them improve their technique.

Competing on tour each week is the primary job of professional golfers, but Labritz is a PGA club professional and his day-to-day responsibilities at Glen Arbor Golf Club include managing golf operations, overseeing member programs and putting together members instruction programs.

"Rob is an amazing success story," Finnerty bragged. "He is an accomplished golf instructor who finds the time to keep his game sharp enough to compete at an elite level. Qualifying for 8 PGA Championships and now the PGA TOUR Champions is truly an accomplishment for a PGA Club professional and we are very proud to expand our partnership with Rob.”
