HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The long-awaited new Legoland theme park in the Hudson Valley is fully open after carefully being built Lego brick by Lego brick.

Legoland has opened to blockbuster reviews (with the exception of a few complaints about tough to navigate new traffic patterns). The much anticipated tourist destination has had plenty of time to work out the bugs since the park has been open for previews since the spring.

“We’re so proud to welcome guests from far and wide into our family theme park with all seven lands open for the first time,” Legoland New York Director Stephanie Johnson said in a statement announcing the final pieces were in place. “To see the smiles on the faces of children and their families during our successful preview period has been the thrill of a lifetime. The feedback we’ve received from these devoted fans and early adopters has been invaluable as we work to create the ultimate Lego theme park experience here in the Hudson Valley."

Visitors can now visit all seven lands at the theme park.

Lego Pirates was the last of the lands to open. Billed as the place for young buccaneers to find adventure, the land of Lego pirates allows guests to aim a water cannon at unsuspecting spectators (but to be fair, they can return the blasts back). The Lego pirate-themed world also includes the crowd favorite Anchors Away which simulates waves too high for any landlubbers as the pirate ship ride sways back and forth and high into the sky.

Visitors can also experience the Lego Factory Adventure Ride, where they’ll join madcap Professor Brick, shrink down to miniature size and witness the colorful creation of a Lego brick. At the end of the journey, riders will see themselves transformed into Lego Minifigures.

Other exciting adventures include the iconic Dragon Coaster in the Lego Castle world and the Lego Ninjago Ride in (you guessed it) Ninjago World. Kids can earn their own Legoland driver’s license at driving school in Lego City or catch Lego movies in 4D at Palace Cinema.
