BEDFORD, NY — Single and double lane closures along I-684 in Bedford are planned today for bridge work.

The New York State Department of Transportation said that single and double lane closures are expected along Interstate 684 southbound, between Exit 6 (State Route 35) and Exit 5 (Saw Mill River Parkway) in Bedford, on Thursday, June 1.

The bridge work is expected to take place between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
