BEDFORD, NY — An opportunity to learn firsthand how the government services we depend on happen like clockwork are available for the right candidates, but the window to apply is closing soon.

The Town of Bedford has a limited number of summer internships for college students available in several departments. Officials say the internships are typically coordinated with school schedules and require a full-time, 10-week, in-person commitment.

Interested applicants should submit an application, which should include a resume. Qualified candidates will be interviewed, which may be conducted via Zoom. Positions will be a combination of administrative duties, department-specific projects and an opportunity to learn about local government.

  • Building Department
  • Finance Department
  • Office of the Supervisor
  • Office of the Town Clerk
  • Planning Department
  • Recreation and Parks
  • Tax Assessor & Receiver
  • Town Court
