Local Scouts Gathered for Massive Camporee

1,000+ Scouts From 7 Counties came together at Massive "Rise of the Council Camporee" - Activities, Campfires & Scouting Spirit

Over 1,000 Scouts from across the Greater Hudson Valley Council converged in May for the highly anticipated "Rise of the Council Camporee." The three-day event, took place at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, and brought together youth members from all seven counties served by the council - Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester.

Scouts had the chance to participate in a wide range of Star Wars themed activities from team building exercises, skill building competitions, and fun games. Hundreds of adult volunteers have worked tirelessly to organize the event, prepare activities, and ensure a secure environment for the 1,000+ youth participants.

Local scout troops Lewisboro/Katonah Troop 301 and Goldens Bridge Troop 154 attended and ran 2 of the event's stations: Pod Racing and Leave No Trace - and building a 20 ft tall flag pole.
