CROSS RIVER, NY — If you're looking to center yourself after a rough couple of years, the perfect opportunity is coming up to focus on your physical, spiritual and mental health and have a little fun at the same time.

Westchester's first yoga and wellness festival is happening this Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at the O2 Living Sanctuary in Cross River.

Ora Studios officials said they launched the Radiance Yoga & Wellness Festival for those looking for new experiences, healthier routines and a sense of community after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organizers say that the day-long festival will feature a wide array of yoga and wellness-related classes in a marketplace environment. Scheduled classes will include a range of yoga selections: advanced vinyasa, alignment, yoga for athletes, beginner, gentle and workshop intensives. There will also be a selection of wellness-related activities, including Ayurveda, meditation, nutrition/food, pilates, sound healing and tai chi. All levels, from beginner to advanced are welcome.

Plans call for attendees to experience a festival-like atmosphere with food from Ladle of Love and food trucks, including Poke Motion, Waffle Box Truck and Kinwich, sustainability-focused wellness practitioners and retail shops with yoga gear as well as natural health and beauty products. Live music and interactive creative experiences are also on tap.

Ora Studios’ Founder/Creative Director and event host, Michelle Prosper will offer a welcome meditation and a closing event to set the tone for the day.

"The Radiance Yoga and Wellness Festival is an opportunity to highlight the incredible talent within our larger community, yoga teachers, wellness advocates, studio owners, because we have so many amazing people right here and around where we live who have something powerful to share and the ability to profoundly move people," Prosper said. "This festival is the ideal platform for partakers to explore many different yoga and wellness experiences and different modalities for moving their bodies, healing from trauma, and raising the collective vibration. It is a place for all to ‘come as you are’ – let the experience be unique to you.”

In keeping with Ora Studios’ belief that sharing abundance creates abundance for all, Prosper said a portion of all proceeds will be donated to Everytown for Gun Safety and WMN Unite, an organization with the mission to support women by providing financial support for education centered on health, wellness, financial growth and sustainability.

"We are thrilled to be participating in the Radiance Yoga Festival," said Jen Pignone, owner of O2 Living Sanctuary. "One of our main goals at O2 Living is to bring people together to create connection and community, so to be involved in this festival is very aligned with our mission here at O2."

Sponsors of the event include Athleta, Bulletproof, Lil Bucks, Anjali's Cup, Crazy Richard's, Ladle of Love, Cacao King, Emmy's Organics, Sprout Living, Teeccino, Munk Pack, Natural Awakenings, ROOT and relaxx.
