St. Luke’s School has been back in action throughout June and July with its Summer at St. Luke’s Sports Camps! Children ages four to 14 had the opportunity to get out, get active, and have fun with multi-sport, baseball, football, or squash camps. Each camp was tailored toward age-appropriate activities with skill development, leadership, team-building, strategy, and of course, fun built into each weeklong session.

Since its start in 2017, Summer at St. Luke’s multi-sport camp has continued to grow, with a record number of campers in the first three sessions of this year. Led by St. Luke’s camp director & girls varsity soccer coach Dan Clarke and his team of enthusiastic counselors, campers participated in soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, field hockey, basketball, tennis, and more. Junior campers (ages 4-7) learned the fundamentals of sports, practiced individual skills, and gained an understanding of teamwork.

One junior camp parent shared, “My son had a wonderful experience at multisport camp!! Thank you to Coach Dan and his team.”

Kids and counselors are having a blast. Clarke said, “It has been amazing to see so many kids having fun, enjoying the many different sports on offer, and making new friendships. We have had an awesome first few weeks, and I can't wait for the remaining two in August.”

For the players interested in football, St. Luke’s varsity coach, Noel Thomas, led this year’s inaugural football camp for ages 6-13 and shared, “I was excited to work with some of our younger athletes. Each child learned the fundamentals of offense, defense, and special teams. Some features of the camp are an NFL-style combine, a football draft, and an exciting touch football tournament.” Thomas added, “If your child is interested in learning more about football without the pressure of equipment and contact, this is the camp for them. We have another session in August, and campers should prepare to have a blast."
