St. Luke's To Offer Baseball and Football Summer Camps
St. Luke's School is expanding its summer sports camp offerings to include a baseball and football camp this summer
St. Luke’s is excited to add two new summer sports camps this year, following the success of its multisport camp in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
St. Luke’s Varsity Baseball Head Coach Sam Colon will deliver five weeks of baseball camp for students ages 6-12, as well as a Showcase Elite Camp for players ages 13-18.
St. Luke’s Varsity Football Head Coach Noel Thomas will pilot two weeks of football camp for players ages 6-13.
Colon is thrilled to introduce the new baseball camp, especially after the 2020 summer camps were canceled due to COVID-19: “I am so excited to be able to offer this camp. The game of baseball is forever evolving, but one thing that never changes is that a player’s progress can be tracked directly to how hard they work, in and out of season. The summer baseball camp will provide a fun-filled, learning environment for players to work on all aspects of their game. The Showcase Elite Camp will provide players the opportunity to sharpen their skills and keep them game ready for summer baseball.”
Thomas is also eager to launch the St. Luke’s Football Camp to work with and develop the skills of younger players: “I'm excited to work with some of our younger athletes. If your child is interested in learning more about football without the pressure of equipment and contact, this is the camp for them. Each child will learn the fundamentals of offense, defense and special teams. Some features of the camp are an NFL-style combine, a football draft, and an exciting touch football tournament. Campers should prepare to have a blast."
