Storytelling On The Farm At Harvest Moon This Weekend

Hudson Valley master storyteller, Jonathon Kruk, will captivate young and young at heart in a picturesque setting this Mother's Day weekend.

NORTH SALEM, NY — Add another activity to the list of fascinating activities unique to the region, thanks to the people, places and attractions found only in the Hudson Valley.

Update: This event, originally scheduled for Saturday, was postponed to Sunday, May 8, at 1 p.m.

If you like farms and spoken word stories, grab the family and head to Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard this Sunday because they will be holding a special storytelling event.

Jonathon Kruk, Hudson Valley's very own master storyteller, will entertain with an interactive storytelling show. He is locally renowned for his retelling of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and "A Christmas Carol." According to the New York Times, "Jonathon Kruk has a way with the spoken word, the telling gesture, the sprinkling of humor and the appropriate costume for a smorgasbord of stories." He has also been featured on The Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, Good Morning America, BBC's Great American Railway Journeys, the National Geographic Channel and Travel Channel's Mysteries at the Museum.

Kruk will have an exciting Mother's Day performance, at 1 p.m. The show will be free to the public and no registration will be required.
