At New Canaan Country School, children in Kindergarten are viewed as competent, capable and creative contributors and seen as active participants in the learning process.

The school's curriculum is deliberately designed to stretch each student and offer children opportunities to innovate, create and play together within a community of learners. When children are encouraged to explore possibilities in one discipline, such a mindset finds its way into other moments—in language arts, math, science and music.
Transportation

Kindergarteners are eligible to ride the bus.

Pre-K through 9 By Design

Country School's program is Pre-K through Grade 9 by design. The ages of three through 15 are among the most crucial years of a child's academic, creative, moral and physical development. These are the formative years when the foundation must be set properly. Throughout the journey, students are equipped with exactly what they need to take the next leap: from subject to subject, grade to grade, and from Country School to the nation's best high schools, colleges and beyond.
New Canaan Country School is a co-ed, independent day school for students in Pre-K (ages 3 & 4) through Grade 9. Located on an 85-acre campus in New Canaan, the school provides transportation to families living throughout the region - including Westchester and Fairfield Counties. For more information about the school, please visit www.countryschool.net.
