WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Construction crews working on an I-684 bridge project might once again cause some post-morning rush hour tie-ups for Westchester drivers.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said a right lane closure is again expected along I-684 southbound between Exit 5 (Saw Mill River Parkway) and Exit 6 (State Route 35) in the Town of Bedford, for bridge maintenance. The closure is scheduled for mid-day Wednesday.

The work will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
