Traffic Alert: Weekend I-684 Lane Reductions In Bedford, Again

BEDFORD, NY — There will be a familiar sight in store for drivers in Northern Westchester this weekend — a lane reduction along I-684 in Bedford is planned on Saturday for bridge repairs.

The New York State Department of Transportation said that Interstate 684 southbound will be reduced to one lane between Exit 6 (State Route 35) and Exit 4 (State Route 172) in Bedford.

The bridge repairs are expected to take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
