HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.

Professional Development Event Volunteers
Family Services of Westchester's Port Chester Head Start Center is seeking assistance with its upcoming professional development event. Volunteers are needed the day before the event as well as during the event itself. Volunteers will help set up furniture for breakout rooms, place signage, set up the breakfast, direct guests and help cleanup. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers; volunteers must be 16+.
Date: March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and March 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Invasive Plant Management at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
Volunteers are needed to manage invasive plants including shrubs and vines at various locations around the park. No experience is necessary and this is a perfect activity for groups, families and kids 14+ (or 12+ with an adult).
Date: March 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
