BEDFORD, NY — Single and double lane closures along I-684 in Bedford are planned nightly this entire week for construction work.

The New York State Department of Transportation said that single and double lane closures are expected along Interstate 684 in both directions, between Exit 4 (State Route 172) and Exit 6 (State Route 35) in Bedford, nightly beginning Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 9.

The construction work is expected to take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
