Westchester Man Claims Stepmother Stole His House
The accusations include a forged signature and a fake notary stamp.
KATONAH, NY — A northern Westchester man has said his stepmother stole his home by forging his signature and using a fake notary stamp. Peter Parraglia said that the signature on records filed with the county clerk transferring his house to Barbara Kessman-Parraglia for $10 is a forgery.
Parraglia said he lives in the home with his wife and two children, so he wondered out loud why he would turn over the dwelling to his stepmother, nbcnewyork.com I-Team investigation reported.
The investigation questioned Kessman-Parraglia and Peter Parraglia's father Patrick Edward Parraglia, who certified the transaction as a notary public, and found somewhat contradictory answers about the validity of the transaction.
