Dinkelmeyer Elementary Creates Holiday Delights

The project was part of the study on the letters G and H. 'The Gingerbread Boy' was read before students created their tasty masterpieces.

From Dinkelmeyer Elementary: Bowls of candy, marshmallows and other treats were spread out on tables in kindergarten classrooms at John Dinkelmeyer Elementary School in the North Bellmore School District as students created custom gingerbread houses.

Starting out with small milk cartons, the children covered them in frosting, added graham crackers for the walls, and then decorated their houses with an assortment of candy. They took home their completed creations to serve as holiday centerpieces.
