2 Teens Killed In Rollover Crash On Southern State: Police

A car carrying five people overturned on the Southern State Parkway, killing 2 teens early Thursday morning, police say.

ISLIP, NY — Two teens were killed in a car wreck on the Southern State Parkway early Thursday morning, police say.

Two teenagers were killed Thursday morning when a tan 2010 Toyota Prius carrying five people overturned on the Southern State Parkway, eastbound at exit 43A in the Town of Islip, police said.

When State Troopers arrived, they found the vehicle "resting on the shoulder in the tree line."

Oliver Charles, 18, of Deer Park, and one of the passengers, Dymond A. Saunders, 17, of West Babylon, were both pronounced deceased by the paramedics on the scene, police said.

Three other passengers were taken to local hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
