Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Brentwood Crash: Police

The bicyclist was struck by a car and brought to a hospital, police say.

BRENTWOOD, NY — A bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Brentwood on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.

Cesar Guevara, 32, of Brentwood, was riding a bicycle westbound on Suffolk Avenue, when he was struck by a 1998 Lincoln Town Car traveling southbound on Wicks Road, around 9:55 p.m., police said. Guevara was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, police said.

The driver of the Lincoln, a 53-year-old Brentwood man, was not injured, police said. The Lincoln was impounded for a safety check.
