Breeze Airways Announces Flights to Fort Myers From MacArthur Airport

Breeze Airways is now offering flights from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Fort Myers, Florida, the Town of Islip announced Tuesday.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Breeze Airways is now offering direct flights to Fort Myers, Florida, out of Long Island MacArthur Airport, the Town of Islip announced Tuesday.

Breeze will fly two times weekly to and from Fort Myers on Wednesdays and Saturdays, beginning October 2, according to Islip officials.

“MacArthur Airport customers made it clear that they want, need, and will support year-round flight options so they may conveniently travel between Long Island and Fort Myers,” said Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “The Town Board and I have been listening and working hard with our airline partners to meet the overwhelming demand for Fort Myers service. We’re thrilled that Breeze Airways stepped up to serve this much-loved route from easy ISP,” she added.

To celebrate the launch, Breeze is offering special limited-time introductory fares starting at $89 at flybreeze.com.

Long Islanders can fly from Islip to Charleston, Norfolk, Richmond, Vero Beach, Raleigh Durham, and Portland, Maine nonstop, and Jacksonville and New Orleans with “BreezeThru” no plane change service.

MacArthur Airport has completed over $100 million in planning and capital projects since 2016, including the rehabilitation of airfield taxiway and runway surfaces, a Ground Transportation Center and Walkway, a Fire Rescue Building, and is nearing completion on significant Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing capital improvements.

The news comes shortly after JetBlue announced three new flights to Florida out of Islip.
