Brentwood Crash Leaves Pedestrian Critically Injured

The 27-year-old was hurt after being struck by a car in Brentwood Monday night.

BRENTWOOD, NY — A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car in Brentwood on Monday night, according to Suffolk Police.

A 54-year-old Brentwood woman was driving a 2009 Hyundai Accent eastbound in front of 240 2nd Avenue when the car struck pedestrian in the roadway at 10:10 p.m.

The pedestrian, 27-year-old Wilmer Velasquez, of Brentwood, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition. The driver was not injured.
