Brentwood Farm Ranked "Best Farm On Long Island"

BRENTWOOD, NY — Long Islanders have spoken: the Napolitano Family Farm, located at 1725 Brentwood Rd. in Brentwood, was voted " Best Farm on Long Island", according to Bethpage Federal Credit Union's Best of Long Island awards.

The farm will also be hosting the 3rd annual "Long Island CSA Fair" on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. According to its website, the fair will feature more than 20 farms, food trucks, knife sharpening, and live music.

Husband and wife team Dan and Gina Napolitano started the farm in 2018 to provide Long Islanders a source of quality fruits and veggies grown on their farm.

"We are grateful, humbled and honored to have been nominated and chosen as best farm by our community," said the couple in a statement to Patch. "We are blessed to have our two acres and greenhouse at The Sisters of St Joseph in Brentwood, and have wonderful farm neighbors in The Garden Ministry, Thera Farms, Red Fox Farms , L.I.N.P.I. (Long Island Native Plant Initiative) and all the other farmers on the land. We look forward to the 2022 season and are very excited to see everyone at the markets. As always, all are welcome to visit the farm."

Located at Sisters of St. Joseph in Brentwood it grows a wide variety of fresh produce and is committed to “clean growing”, with no pesticides or chemicals used.

According to its description, the farm is "everything you could ask for from a local, community-based agriculture organization."

The duo offers a community-supported agriculture, or CSA, program, where individuals and families can become members and buy a share of the farm before the season begins. Members then receive a weekly share of produce throughout the season.

The farm also attends farmers markets throughout Long Island, Dan told Patch, including in Levittown on Saturdays, and in Patchogue on Sundays.
