Central Islip Plastics Plant Will Close, Lay Off 93 Workers

Two companies at the plant, Creative Bath Products and M&M Molding Corp, are being sold and will lay off the employees this November.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY—A plastics plant that manufactures plastic bath and houseware products in Central Islip is slated to close, according to a filing with the Department of Labor. Creative Bath Products, Inc. and M&M Molding Corp. will lay off 54 and 39 employees, respectively, this November.

According to a filing made by the two employers on Monday, the businesses are being sold and the plant at 250 Creative Drive will close. The employees are not represented by a union.

According to Creative Bath Product's website, their products are sold by retailers including Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco and Target.

M&M Molding Corp. has 200 employees in total and manufactures plastic molds.
