Central Islip Police Blotter: Fentanyl, Crack-Cocaine, Stolen Truck

North Babylon man arrested in connection with fentanyl, crack-cocaine and grand larceny in Central Islip.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Central Islip area from May 27 through June 2.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

May 29: Joseph Walter, 34, of North Babylon, stole a 2004 Ford F250 pickup truck from Old Suffolk Avenue in Islandia around 2 a.m. Around 1:45 p.m. that day, he was pulled over for driving the stolen vehicle in Central Islip and upon searching the truck, officers found crack-cocaine and fentanyl, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell and second-degree criminal possession of paraphernalia for the scales, police said.
