The program is a cooperative partnership between Western Suffolk BOCES, the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, and Suffolk PD for teens who have an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement, according to the program's website.

In addition, there are four different week-long Youth Academy programs offered including a High School Youth Academy, County Youth Executive Academy, Explorer/Sea Cadet Youth Academy, and the BOCES Criminal Justice Youth Academy.
