Funeral Set For Brentwood EMT Killed In Crash
The funeral for Brentwood EMT Bryant Ortiz till take place Monday.
BRENTWOOD, NY — Funeral arrangements have been set for Brentwood EMT Bryant Ortiz, 32, who died on April 15 after crashing after crashing his motorcycle into a car last week.
A funeral will take place Monday, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church at 266 Wicks Road in Brentwood.
An EMS Memorial Service took place Sunday at Michael J. Grant Funeral Home in Brentwood.

Ortiz was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle southbound shortly after midnight when he struck the rear passenger side of a northbound Volkswagen sedan driven by Eric Ferrand-Diaz of Bay Shore, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Ferrand-Diaz attempted to turn left onto Spur Drive North off of 5th avenue when Ortiz hit him.

Ortiz was transported to South Shore University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. Ferrand-Diaz was not injured.
No charges were filed in the crash, police said.
